This project was originally conceived of when the Barrow Sports Centre in Carlow I.T. was being re-developed. As a college project the brief was to design an outdoor facility for the students of the campus. The main consideration was that the design was restricted in space to the generally triangular area in front of the bar. At the time this was as a result of actual re-development plans which left this triangular area unplanned for. Hence the origin of the project.
